Red Bull
Paris Cliff Diving 2022
So, why we can’t dive into the Seine (from a 27m high diving board)?
For the first time in its history, the famous international high-diving competition, Red Bull Cliff Diving, stopped off in the French capital at a unique and emblematic spot, opposite the Eiffel Tower.
A 27-metre-high platform for men and 25 metres for women was installed at Port Debilly, on the banks of the Seine, to welcome the world’s best athletes in the discipline. From a breath-taking view of the Eiffel Tower, they launched themselves into the air to perform their most beautiful dives with no other protection than their concentration, skill and physical mastery. The athletes were able to reach speeds of up to 85 km/h when entering the water.
The 24 male and female divers offered a unique and stunning spectacle to more than 25,000 spectators who came to attend the event.
This event, of international scope, was also viewed by the general public and rebroadcast live on numerous channels, notably on Twitch, on Redbull TV and on the L’Équipe TV channel.
