L'ORÉAL
THE DEFILÉ ON THE SEINE
THE SEINE AS THE MOST EXTRAORDINARY OF PODIUMS
After taking over the Avenue des Champs-Elysées in 2017 for the first Fashion Week show open to all, L’Oréal Paris has rolled out a new exceptional catwalk for Le Défilé L’Oréal Paris. And this year again, no invitation card was needed to attend the show: Parisians and tourists alike were invited.
More than 45 big names in fashion, including 18 of the biggest international L’Oréal Paris muses – Doutzen Kroes, Maria Borges and Andie McDowell – strolled down a floating catwalk 60 metres long and 7.5 metres wide, installed directly on the Seine.
An exceptional show, placed under the sign of sharing: tens of thousands of spectators were able to attend the show from the 1000 seats in the “front-row”, the high platforms and the Passerelle Senghor, with a direct view of the catwalk and a live broadcast via giant screens in more than 35 countries.
As for the 400 distinguished guests, they were able to follow the parade from the upper deck of a boat positioned along the catwalk.
